Michelle M. Robinson Joins Vitalant to Lead Strategic Planning and Business Development for Blood Services
A seasoned healthcare executive, Robinson will advance new ways to serve and build partnerships

June 16, 2021 — Healthcare leader Michelle M. Robinson has joined Vitalant as its senior vice president of strategic planning and business development. She joins Vitalant with more than 20 years of leadership experience, generating growth and adding value for clients and customers. Robinson will lead healthcare partnership development, helping to further position Vitalant to meet transfusion medicine needs of hospitals and their patients into the future.

Robinson comes to Vitalant from AdvocateAurora Health in Chicago, where she led the South Chicago Patient Service Area, designing and building services to meet the community’s healthcare needs. She led strategic planning and drove year-over-year revenue growth on a $4B plus budget. Her extensive, healthcare-focused career also includes time as president of Heartland Blood Centers (now Versiti), a global marketing leader with Baxter Healthcare, and global operational leader for GE Healthcare.
 
Robinson is active in the community and serves on several nonprofit boards, most recently joining the Twin Cities (Minnesota) Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors.

Robinson holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue and an Executive MBA from Kellogg Northwestern University.
