Volunteers serve snacks and remind donors to stay for the full 15 minutes, plus ensure they drink plenty of juice and watch for rare, but potential reactions to the donation process.

Do you like to help organize or help others with smaller tasks, but important ones? We need volunteers to assist with day-to-day operations by helping with clerical duties essential to delivering on our mission such as copying, filing, data entry, inventory and volunteer confirmation.

To help serve our communities, we bring blood drives to donors – at businesses, schools, churches and community organizations throughout Northern and Central California. As a volunteer, you’ll help serve refreshments, provide donor education and be a friendly, helpful presence. There are plenty of opportunities to conveniently fit your schedule!

In this role you'll provide general office assistance and administrative support to Vitalant staff including answering phones, filing, copying and data entry. Basic computer knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office is desirable.

Volunteer couriers travel throughout the area to Vitalant mobile blood drives and hospitals. They transport blood products from mobile sites to Vitalant's regional headquarters. Must have a valid driver's license and meet Vitalant's support vehicle driver qualifications.

Event volunteers assist with Vitalant special events of all sizes. Candidates should possess excellent communications skills, work as a member of a team, be organized and attentive to detail and provide excellent customer service.

In this role, you'll manage the refreshment areas by assisting donors, serving refreshments, monitoring donor safety, assisting with donor flow and most importantly, thanking donors for transforming the lives of patients. There are plenty of opportunities to conveniently fit your schedule!

Administrative Volunteers assist various departments with a variety of clerical responsibilities at our office in Rosemont. A variety of opportunities are available, including data entry, project management, fulfillment projects, mail preparation, sorting and filing. Training is provided.

Volunteers work with our employees and other volunteers to call previous volunteer blood donors, thank them for their past donations and ask them to schedule their next appointments.
