Donor Recognition Program Open to All Donors
The Donor Recognition Program, commonly referred to as the “Vitalant Store,” is open to all donors. This is a useful tool for blood drive coordinators hoping to increase turnout at their drives. Reminding potential donors of the different gift card options available may entice them to sign up.
It’s a good idea to remind all of your drive participants that they have to opt-in to receive points for their donations. It’s also a chance to remind them to check their points from time to time. Sometimes, a donor may forget about their accumulated points and may be pleasantly surprised by the amount they have in their account.
Gift cards to a variety of stores are available, so there is truly something for everyone. From Target and Amazon to Hulu and The Home Depot, there’s sure to be a gift card option that will please even the pickiest donor. There is also the unique option to donate points back to Vitalant—because not everyone donates blood for the recognition.
Whether your donors are aiming for that next Chipotle meal on Vitalant, or they’re donating “just because,” a reminder about the Donor Recognition Program is sure to make your drive more successful.
