Summer vacations, activities and holidays, like Labor Day, can keep people out of the donation chair, but patients continue to rely on lifesaving transfusions to survive, heal and recover. Please give blood during the week of Labor Day to ensure hospital patients have the help they need.

To thank our donors for taking time to donate around the Labor Day holiday, we will send all blood, Power Red, platelet or plasma donors who come to donate Sept. 1-8 an exclusive Vitalant Summer Donor T-shirt* or 200 bonus recognition points, both redeemable by email.**

Important information about your gift:

  • T-shirt or bonus points offer good for all participating donors who present to give from Sept. 1, 2022, to Sept. 8, 2022, at any Vitalant blood drive or donor center.
  • Physical T-shirts will NOT be handed out at blood donation location.
  • Donors must be signed up for email to receive redemption email to claim T-shirt or bonus points. 
  • If you are currently a member of the Donor Recognition Program, you may choose to receive 200 bonus points in your donor recognition account instead of the T-shirt. Power Red/whole blood/platelet/plasma donors will receive points as usual for their donation.
*Presenting donors who come to donate during the promotional time frame (Sept. 1–8, 2022) are eligible ONLY if they provide their email address to enable redemption. Limit one (1) per presenting donation. Physical T-shirts will NOT be handed out at the blood donation location. This offer is non-transferable and not redeemable for cash. Offer is subject to change at any time during the promotional time frame. Instructions on how to claim T-shirt or bonus points will be sent to the email address provided on donor record approximately 2 weeks after attempted donation.
