Host a blood drive
For hospitals
Amid overwhelming pandemic news, there are rays of light, including a new donation type for those donors fully recovered from COVID-19. Convalescent plasma* is a blood component containing antibodies that may give patients an extra boost to fight their illness.
Fully recovered from COVID-19 – and at least 28 days symptom free?
If you had a positive COVID test OR have a confirmed positive Vitalant COVID-19 supplemental antibody test, your plasma may be able to help COVID patients.*
NOTE: Donors must meet all other eligibility requirements to qualify. Please do not donate blood if you are not feeling well. Blood donors are NOT tested for active coronavirus infection.
Schedule your COVID Plasma appointment online today or call 1-866-CV-PLSMA (866-287-5762).

Vitalant is looking for COVID Rescue Team Leaders to host a blood drive! All donations are currently being tested for COVID-19 antibodies. By hosting a blood drive you’re recruiting donors who may have antibodies to potentially help those battling the virus.
You can host a blood drive in one of two ways:
Simply fill out the form below, and we’ll connect you with an experienced donor recruitment representative who will guide you every step of the way to ensure your blood drive is a success.
All blood and platelet donations are currently being tested for COVID-19 antibodies. Donors who receive a positive result from the Vitalant COVID-19 supplemental antibody test may be eligible to become a convalescent plasma donor and join the COVID Rescue Team.
If your blood test is negative for COVID-19 antibodies, your blood and platelet donations are still very much needed for patients undergoing surgery, cancer therapy and other medical treatments.
