Give blood in honor of Officers Coolidge and Haney
The Phoenix Police Department and Vitalant have joined together to honor fallen Officer Zane Coolidge (top) and injured Officer Matthew Haney. Both were shot in the line of duty on Sept. 3, 2024. The Phoenix Police Department has invited the community to give blood in honor of these officers at the Mountain View and Black Mountain Precincts on Wednesday, September 11. The blood drives are being held on Patriots' Day - a date designated to give thanks to the brave first responders who put their lives on the line. Amid the feelings of helplessness, giving blood is a way to reach out. Donating blood is a wonderful tribute and it saves lives.
Space is limited, so appointments are requested by clicking on a DONATE button below. Once appointments are filled, the public is invited to give blood in honor of Officers Coolidge and Haney on Sept. 11 - 12 at any Vitalant blood drive or donation center.
