There is an emergency need for blood this summer. You can help end the blood shortage by giving blood at the annual Reno-Sparks Battle of the Badges, a friendly competition of badge carrying personnel.

At this special blood drive, badge carrying personnel and community members give blood on behalf of their favorite agency to see who can bring in the most blood donors. Everyone wins when patients get the lifesaving blood transfusions they need. 

Blood donors will receive an exclusive blood drive T-shirt, while supplies last. 

Donors who give blood through Aug. 31, 2023, will receive enough bonus points in their online donor accounts to redeem for a cool summer $10 gift card through Vitalant’s donor recognition program. Donors who give blood through Aug. 31, 2023, will also have the chance to win 1 of 5 $5,000 prepaid gift cards for back-to-school tech items or to deck out the home/office (computer/laptop, TV, tablet, headphones, etc.).
