Laboratory Technician
Our Laboratory Technicians help prepare blood components for delivery to our hospitals and are responsible for component production, labeling, record reviewing, and high complexity testing. We offer day and evening shifts with variable start times to fit your lifestyle.

Our Labs
Vitalant’s medical laboratory professionals meet numerous needs for patients and the medical communities we serve through various types of labs, including:
Immunohematology Reference – In these labs, our team collaborates with hospitals to perform serological testing, identifying the best blood matches for patients needing transfusions, especially those with specific conditions like sickle cell disease or leukemia.
Component Manufacturing – These labs use specialized equipment to transform donated whole blood into red blood cells, plasma, and various specialized blood products, ensuring these components are processed and prepared for patients.
Coagulation – Here Vitalant offers specialized screenings and diagnostic tests for patients battling thrombosis, addressing both arterial and venous causes. Our laboratory staff provides comprehensive testing, interprets results, makes accurate diagnoses, and offers treatment and recommendations.
Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) – This is where Vitalant’s lab specialists analyze key markers for organ transplant patients, working in collaboration with medical professionals to guide critical decisions for kidney, lung, or heart transplant recipients.
