Vitalant Cord Blood Services is an umbilical cord blood bank and laboratory located in New Jersey. Vitalant Cord Blood Services was formed with the merger of ITxM Cord Blood Services of PA and New Jersey Cord Blood Bank in 2018.
We collect cord blood donations and provide laboratory services for private companies.
Our cord blood banking services are offered at certain hospitals in the Pennsylvania and New Jersey areas. We collaborate with the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) and register the cord blood donations that pass all testing.
Once registered, these cord blood donations are made available for patients who need stem cell transplants for life-threatening diseases, such as leukemia, genetic disorders, diseases of the immune system and much more. Currently, researchers have found cord blood is effective in treating up to 80 diseases.
Cord blood banking benefits include the potential to play a role in research related to blood diseases and disorders. Current and prospective research customers can find more information on our website.
